We are saddened to hear from the National Park Service about the death of P-55 mountain lion whose remains were found recently in the Santa Monica Mountains.
P55 famously crossed the 101 freeway twice and was only 3 years old when he died (mountain lions can live up to 14 years old).
The cause of his death is still unknown, but the effects of anti-coagulant rodenticides could have played a role, as it has done with other mountain lion deaths such as P-34.
The need to educate about rodenticides and the importance of habitat connectivity is more important than ever. If you or your community would like to sponsor a screening of THE CAT THAT CHANGED AMERICA please get in contact with tony@sabanafilms.com
